Rental terms & conditions
Written plainly, because surprises at the desk help nobody. The signed rental agreement remains the definitive document.
01Driver requirements
- Minimum age 21, with a full licence held for at least one year. Higher minimums apply to Jeep Wrangler and luxury categories.
- Licences issued in the EU or EEA are accepted as issued. Licences from outside the EU must be accompanied by an International Driving Permit.
- Every driver must be named on the rental agreement. Additional drivers can be added free of charge at the time of booking.
- A valid passport or national ID card and a credit or debit card in the main driver's name are required at handover.
02What the price includes
- Comprehensive insurance as specified in the rental agreement.
- Unlimited kilometres for the whole rental period.
- All local taxes and levies.
- 24/7 roadside assistance anywhere on the island.
- Free delivery and collection at the airport, both ports, hotels and villas.
- Child and booster seats, supplied on request at no charge.
03Deposit and payment
- A refundable security deposit is pre-authorised on the main driver's card at handover and released after the vehicle is returned.
- We accept major credit and debit cards, and cash in euro.
- The deposit amount depends on the vehicle category and is confirmed in writing before your rental begins.
04Fuel policy
- Vehicles are supplied with a set fuel level and should be returned at the same level.
- Any shortfall is charged at the pump price plus a small refuelling fee.
- Please use the correct fuel type — misfuelling is not covered by the insurance.
05Where you may drive
- The vehicle may be driven only in Mykonos unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- Taking a rental vehicle off the island by ferry requires our prior written consent.
- Only our Jeeps and SUVs are insured for unpaved roads. Taking a city car onto a dirt track voids the insurance cover.
- Driving on beaches, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, voids all cover.
06Cancellations and changes
- Bookings can be amended free of charge subject to availability.
- Cancellations made with reasonable notice are free of charge, as no payment is taken at the time of booking.
- If your flight or ferry is delayed, tell us and we will adjust the handover — there is no charge for delays outside your control.
07Damage, breakdown and accidents
- Report any accident, damage or theft to us and to the police immediately. Insurance claims cannot be processed without a police report.
- Do not authorise any repair without our agreement.
- In the event of a breakdown, call us first — our roadside assistance covers the whole island, day and night.
Common questions
Do I need an International Driving Permit?+
Licences issued in the EU or EEA are accepted as they are. If your licence was issued outside the EU — including the UK in some cases, the USA, Canada and Australia — bring an International Driving Permit alongside it. We are happy to confirm before you travel if you tell us where your licence is from.
What is the minimum age to rent?+
Drivers must be at least 21 and have held a full licence for a minimum of one year. Some categories, such as the Jeep Wrangler and our luxury vehicles, carry a higher minimum age — we will tell you when you enquire.
Is delivery to the airport or port really free?+
Yes. We deliver and collect anywhere in Mykonos — the airport, both ports, your hotel or your villa — at no additional charge, and there is no drop-off fee.
What is included in the price?+
Every rental includes insurance, unlimited kilometres, all local taxes, 24/7 roadside assistance and free delivery. Child seats are provided free of charge on request.
Can I take the car onto unpaved roads?+
Several of the best beaches sit at the end of dirt tracks. Our Jeeps and SUVs are insured for those roads; the smaller city cars are not, so tell us where you plan to go and we will put you in the right vehicle.
How do I pay, and do you take a deposit?+
We accept the major credit and debit cards as well as cash. A refundable security deposit is held against the card for the duration of the rental and released on return.
How far in advance should I book?+
For July and August, as early as you can — the island sells out of cars, particularly Jeeps and automatics. Outside peak weeks a few days' notice is usually enough.
